Write a letter to Santa

Children just love to write. Encourage them to write a simple letter to Santa Claus. In the letter get them to include their list of Christmas gifts they desire. You need to send your Santa letter and place it inside another stamped and sealed envelope. Mail it to North Pole Christmas Cancellation, Postmaster, 5400 Mail Trail, Fairbanks, AK 99709-9999. However, your letter needs to arrive by 15^th of December.

You can also include Santa’s ‘nice list’ certificate with your letter for a more dramatic effect.

It is time for Santa’s milk and cookies

Christmas Eve is the time when every child is encouraged to leave milk and cookies for Santa. Do it together with your child and let your child know you still believe in Santa Clause. You will be creating joyful memories about Santa with your child. By the way, Santa’s favorite cookie is Chocolate Chip. Just do not forget to empty the glass of milk and finish the cookies before your child wakes up the next day. Another trick, leave some cookie crumbs on the table. Your child will be happy and honored that Santa came last night.

Sprinkle reindeer food on the lawn on Christmas Eve

Who is Santa without his reindeers? Get your children to prepare reindeer food using common food items such as granola or oats. On Christmas Eve, encourage your children to sprinkle the reindeer food onto the lawn and near trees or bushes. At the same time, explain the importance of making sure Santa’s reindeers do not get hungry so they can continue their journey into the night. This will definitely make any child feel proud for helping Santa. And reinforce their belief on reindeers as well.

Show them Santa was here

Stain your carpet or leave some boot prints by the doorway or fireplace. You need to draw attention that Santa had been to the house by leaving Santa’s tracks that are prominent enough for your children to notice.

Santa is on vacation

Children know that Santa only work during Christmas. If you arrange for your child to receive a postcard from Santa one month after Christmas, it keeps your child believing in him. Santa needs a break from the North Pole snow, so make sure your postcard has a picture of a warm and sunny place.
