Do you have first time parents or young parents-to-be on your Christmas shopping list?
You can get gifts for them as a couple who are expecting and get something special they can use with their new baby or buying each of them traditional individual gift.
I highly recommend you check out how far along before the baby is due. I personally like to get a Christmas gifts that is baby related for young parents-to-be only if she is in the fifth or sixth month in her pregnancy. Anything can happy to a pregnancy below the fifth month and I definitely do not want my gift to remind them of unhappiness.
If the pregnancy is below the fifth month, I like to get for them Christmas gifts that they can use before the baby comes such as a movie tickets, a day in the spa or other outings to allow them to spend time together as a couple before the baby is born. I use this opportunity to give the couple something that can help them to simply have some fun together and relax.
I also like to give couples pregnancy books, maternity clothes and even pregnancy workout dvds.
If the pregnancy is above the fifth month or they have a new born getting baby items will be the best option such as designer shoes, a crib or even cute baby clothing.

Diapers, diapers and yet more diapers
Seriously, babies use tons of diapers and even if the parents are planning on using cloth, disposables will still have to be used in some situations. Ask what their choice is, paper or cloth, and then go from there. Also, remember that babies are only very small for a very, very short period of time. Buy diapers which can be used when the baby is older than a newborn. A huge supply of diaper wipes are also needed and appreciated as gifts. Another great Christmas gift is a diaper bag.

Baby furniture for the nursery
A crib or baby furniture can be expensive. You can gather all your family members together or close friends and split the cost. This will definitely help first time parents ease their budget.
Baby on the go with a car seat
A car seat comes in all shapes and prizes. Every new parent needs a good quality car seat to move around with a baby. However for young couples with a new baby will find it hard to go out and spend a couple of hundred dollars on a car seat. So getting one for them will be a great Christmas present.
Baby travel system
Young parents need to spend time outside their home, take a walk in the park or go out shopping. When doing these, they will need a baby travel system. Getting them one will help them move around easily with baby in tow.
